Another new to me author, and I grabbed this one feeling like I needed a little bit of biker in my life. And I did wonder what Lauren was going to do to get away from Tail!

After a short fling with hell-raising womanizer, Taylor (Tail) Adams, Lauren Macey discovers that she’s pregnant with the biker’s child. Knowing that the MC lifestyle isn’t what she wants for their baby, and that Tail isn’t exactly ‘father’ material, Lauren decides not to tell him. This proves challenging, especially when she realizes that he isn’t ready to end their affair…

37k Novella. This can be read as a stand-alone.

I picked up Taming The Biker and jumped into it not realising that it was the fifth book in the series, but to me, it can absolutely be read as a standalone. The other characters make small appearances but don't make a huge impact into the telling of Taylor and Lauren's story. It was a story of passion and lust that turned into something that neither of them were looking for.

The story begins Taylor attending a party at school, it shook up his world and changed what he was thinking for his future. He crossed path's with Lauren, and I could see that he was a gentleman in that moment and was hoping these two would cross paths again.

Jumping into the future, Taylor has been asked to be in his best friends wedding, which also happens to be Lauren's stepsister. So these two are thrust together and there are some sparks between them, and they fall into bed together. There are some hard elements that Lauren is dealing with, and has decided it's enough and returns to her home town. I was happy that she decided it was time to stick up for herself because she wasn't in a great situation, and I wondered why she didn't do so earlier.

Taylor was a player, but he never claimed he was looking for anything. When Lauren came back to town, she was his sole focus. I liked that she was slowing him down from his playboy ways, because he really was a good guy, went out of his way to help Lauren, and be there for her when she needed it.

I wished there was a little more to this story, as it felt like things weren't tied up properly. I enjoyed how the relationship developed, but I would've liked to see more of Tail's world and to see Lauren in it. Some threads seemed to easily wrapped up and the book ended a bit too abruptly. I did enjoy the narration by Nikki Diamond, when telling Tail's parts of the book it honestly sounded like a male's voice. She did a fantastic job! Overall, it was an enjoyable read and if it was fleshed out a bit more, would be a great read.

Hehe... I liked this moment between Lauren and Tail...

“I can’t,” I whispered.
“Why?” he asked.
“I’m not looking for a one-night stand.”
“Technically, this would make it number two.”
“I don’t even remember number one,” I reminded him.
“The second round will be much more memorable, I guarantee it.”
