I can’t get him out of my mind, and I can’t keep myself out of his bed

Kendall

He wasn’t supposed to notice me. Jace Barlow: the most powerful man in the city. Mysterious, scarred, pure muscle and tattoos.

He was my first. That didn’t stop him from pinning me against a wall, using me for his own pleasure until I screamed his name.

Now my boss thinks I’m getting the scoop of the century, but all Jace is giving me is orgasm after leg-quivering orgasm. When he puts his hand on my throat and growls in my ear…

“You are mine.”

I know it’s true.

I’ve fallen hard and I’ve never felt safer…

Until I see him kill somebody.

Jace
I dedicated my life to taking down the Picolli Crime Family from the inside.  I made a name for myself, the mafia’s most brutal enforcer. I worked my way up the chain, and my revenge came. A righteous bloodbath.

Then I took their place so they could never come back.

Nothing else has ever mattered. Until Kendall.

She was an innocent girl for me to defile, and then leave her ruined for other men like all the rest. But she makes me so hard I ache for release, and for the first time in my life, I want to have her again.

Kendall’s the chink in my armor my enemies have been looking for.

I don’t care.

She is mine and I’ll die before I give her up.

I hosted Still a Bad Boy on the blog back in November 2015, and I decided to grab a copy because I love a good bad boy read, and it didn’t disappoint! From Kendall’s perspective, it seemed a little innocent in the beginning, but when I got Jace’s perspective, I could see that he wanted more of her, and the world he was in was complicated.

Kendall was an intern at The Weekly Enquirer, sent to sit in Jace Barlow’s waiting room, because he never follows through with his interviews with reporters. She’s shocked when she actually gets called into his office and is unprepared for the face to face meeting with him. It was amusing to see her so flustered and a little timid, but she tried the best she could, but Jace was so intimidating!

Getting to know them more throughout the story showed that they had a strong connection. Jace was very protective of Kendall and he wanted to give her everything. Kendall fell hard for Jace as he stood up for her, had faith in her and made her feel beautiful, where no one has done that for her before.

Jace’s secrets made the relationship a little complicated. I liked learning about them and understanding his past and his connection to the Picolli Crime Family. This was a thrilling element to the story and kept me on edge! I liked how towards the end that with danger coming from every angle, Jace was focused on Kendall and she followed her heart!

This is Ada Scott’s debut novel, and I think she has done a fabulous job at introducing me to Kendall and Jace’s world. The chemistry between Kendall and Jace was intense, the sex scenes were scorching, and she weaved in the right amount of suspense that kept me on edge! The epilogue wrapped this story up nicely, but I’m eager to read more from this world!!

I have a few quotes today... the first one, well every girl wants to feel that special!

The next time you visit home, if they don’t worship you like a queen, I’ll bulldoze the entire town because when you’re mine, you’re royalty.”

And these two go together, I giggled at what he wrote!

One was a paintbrush and, as he broke the seal and unscrewed the top, I read the label on the other something. It was chocolate-flavored body paint. “Some forms of art are more OK than others,” he said. “Now… you’ve spent all day doing what you want to do, so we’re going to spend all night doing what I want to do.”

When I removed the pillow and looked down with desperation in my eyes, I saw some designs on my stomach that faintly mirrored the patterns on his, and the words “Property of Jace Barlow” written in chocolate ink.

A former office drone, a former nurse, I now spend every waking moment doing what I love, creating and publishing these steamy stories about bad boys from the mafia, motorcycle clubs, and mma that make me, and hopefully you, weak at the knees! Anywhere a bad boy can be found, I'll be there taking notes and making it even sexier :)
