EARLY REVIEW ~ Wanted by J. Kenner

Wanted (Most Wanted, #1)Title: Wanted
Author: J. Kenner
Series: Most Wanted #1
Genre: Contemporary Romance/Erotica
Expected Publication: January 7th 2014

For fans of Fifty Shades of Grey, Bared to You, and Release Me comes an all-new erotic series of three enigmatic and powerful men, and the striking women who can bring them to their knees.

He is everything I crave, all I desperately want—and he is everything I can’t have.

Evan Black embodies my every fantasy. He is brilliant, fierce, and devastatingly handsome. But he is also headstrong, dangerous, and burdened with secrets.

My family warned me to stay away, that I could never handle Evan’s dark dealings or scarred past. Maybe I should have listened. Maybe I should have run. But our desire is undeniable, and some temptations you just can’t fight.

And from the moment we touch—the passion between us consuming us both—I know that I will never be the same.

Wanted is an erotic romance intended for mature audiences.
Wanted is the first book I have read by J. Kenner, and I was quite impressed with it. It had a good storyline and lots of passion between the characters to keep me eagerly turning the pages. The characters were easy to like and deal with real issues that can affect us all.

Angelina and Evan knew one another because of a common person, Jahn, Angelina's uncle. Since Angelina first saw Evan, she has secretly harboured feelings for him, but never had the confidence to act upon them. But when they are bought together at the beginning of this book, you can see the sparks and I was hoping they would find each other. I thought that the relationship between Angelina and Evan grew slowly, but once they decided to pursue their connection it became sizzling.

Angie began the book in a relationship, but knew it wasn’t what she wanted. She has been through a lot since she was 16, and has now made a life for herself in Chicago. After she had a visit from her parents she decided to take on a job offer and to return to Washington, even though it wasn’t her ideal job.

Evan is very mysterious, wealthy and an incredibly hot businessman with plenty of secrets. His past has had a big effect on him and has helped guide him to be the man he is today. He is very protective of the people he cares about and will do anything to keep them safe. That bad boy image he tries to project had me sucked in and I wanted to learn more about him.

The storyline flowed at a nice pace and there were a lot of sizzling scenes throughout the book. The chemistry between Angelina and Evan is undeniable and I enjoyed watching their inner struggles as to why they should or shouldn’t be together. There was a twist in the book about the Creatures Notebook, which I would've liked to see more depth to, as it seemed to unfold a little too quickly and without complications. But other than that, it was a fabulous, captivating read, and I am looking forward to seeing more in this series.

I received a copy of this book from the Publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
